Speaker: Dr. Entisar Soliman Alkayal
Brief: Dr. Entisar Soliman Alkayal is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Rabigh Campus, King Abdulaziz University. Vice‑Chair of the Board of the Saudi Artificial Intelligence Governance Association.She received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, and possesses more than a decade of academic experience.
Part-time consultant at the Center for University Education Development, King Abdulaziz University.Dr. Alkayal’s research interests encompass AI governance, cloud and fog computing, resource‑allocation optimization, and the responsible adoption of generative AI within higher education.
She currently leads interdisciplinary projects on ethical frameworks for large-language model deployment, automatic Arabic license plate recognition, and energy-efficient edge computing algorithms. Her work has appeared in several ISI-indexed journals, and she provides consultancy to the Centre for University Education Development while designing a nationwide training program that enhances faculty competencies in AI governance. A regular keynote speaker and workshop facilitator, Dr. Alkayal promotes transparent, equitable, and human-centered AI in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s digital transformation agenda. Her ongoing initiatives focus on formulating institutional policies that balance technological innovation with societal trust, positioning her as a prominent regional and international advocate for ethical AI.
